Segre-nation?

Inevitably, the segregation issue has been lingering on for the past couple of years but recently has been catapulted into the forefront of our country's current events. I read about it, I hear people talk about, I see demonstrations on TV, but have never really voiced my opinion. Not that I think it's not important, on the contrary actually, everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if it means they'd rather not have one.

I'm not your extremist political activist who is determined to make a change, key word being determined, I just state my opinion to whomever wants to hear it, how modest of me right? So what IS my opinion? I don't support segregation, why? Not simply because the logic behind segregation is absurd but because that the whole issue is a power struggle, who gets the last say, which party gets to have it their way! Sure, the anti-seg people are doing an amazing job, but unfortunately they're facing an upward battle, seriously, the pro-seg clan's ignorance is so overwhelming that they are stuck in their own illogic! Blah, they need to take a debate course, just to show their credibility because their reasons for segregation simply SUCK!

So, segregation will supposedly decrease the divorce rate, the rate of STDs, infidelity, number of abortions and the moral values of the general public and specifically teenagers and young adults? mHm, so I'm supposed to believe that all that wouldn't happen while having segregated schools and even workplaces? So, it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with how people are raised or choose to behave? So, naturally, segregation will automatically create virtuous people who turn a blind eye to anything sexual. Yes, sexual. Haven't you noticed that their whole claim for segregation is purely sexual. Why? Don't they have the faith that parents have the capability of rearing their children and raising them to be decent people? Yeah, maybe segregation will make people less perverted right? We have segregated institutions here and it's clear that whatever happens there happens everywhere else. You don't want your kids in mixed schools? Then put them in segregated ones. Yes, it is THAT simple people!

Segregation isn't mandatory either in educational or work environments and whoever says so is a very insecure individual and wants to create a regressing culture that is controlled by fear! Let them raise their voices, it just shows that their argument is weak. There you have it, this is where I stand on the subject, and yeah I'm done with the discussing the segregation issue, let's move on to another one.

Resuscitation In Progress!

This is going to be an attempt to revive this sorry excuse of a blog, seriously, who neglects their blog for five months or so? How inhumane! Anyway, I was contemplating creating a new one, starting from fresh, but that isn't a good idea seeing that this blog was created to "start from scratch" from a previous blog I had... Hmm, so NO, I'm not going to lie and persuade myself that I'm going to write religiously if I had a new blog, which seems very tempting at this moment but unfortunately I know myself all too well, I'd probably write this post and feel so proud of myself of accomplishing such a feat and disappear for a couple of odd months or so.

Writing used to be such a breeze, what happened? God, I feel like it's such a burden but I have to get back into my writing "vibe" first. We'll see how it goes... this time.

Prison Break: Local Style

You all probably read or heard about the original plan of a couple of inmates at the local prison who attempted to "break" out. They were influenced by the highly popular series Prison Break. The question is did they actually know about the series, seeing that they were in prison? Did their relatives/friends actually tell them to try it out and see how it works with them? Or did they come up with the plan themselves? Ya7lailhum :P

They used knives, spoons, and some metal utensils, and dug themselves a tunnel that incidentally started from under the toilet (original much?) that is so ripping prison break off! But what sucks is that after 6 months of digging they face a concrete wall and get their cover blown by some other jealous inmates who weren't invited in the so-called freedom trek :P

My initial reaction was that EVEN if you group of smart men escape, its not like they won't catch you lets say hmmm 5 hours later, and I'm being generous here. The country is tiny and seeing that there aren't alot of prisons around here, they'll have all their energy focusing on catching all of you. But I have to say, 6 months under the radar is impressive... I can't imagine how they felt when they hit that wall! They probably had that wall for something other than can keeping inmates from escaping... but oh well, it did come in handy.

Laish Ya3ni Laish?

There is a reason behind me not posting that much, it usually is because I always forget about what I want to write about. Sometimes I think I have to stick a tiny notebook in my back pocket just so I can jot down everything from ideas to subjects, to criticisms and basically my lovely observations. That didn't seem practical so I thought maybe I should write on my arms, but I never was that kind of person. I still believe that the lead or ink or whatever would seep into my skin and then into my bloodstream and the toxicity will poison me, and I will endure a slow but painless death :P

Plus, I have the mental capacity of a goldfish, meaning I cannot remember a thing for the life of me, and so I have to write down whats on my mind in that given moment of me facing the laptop. What does all this mean? That I don't have anything useful to talk about because I have short-term memory loss; and judging by the number of times I had to re-read and edit myself, I'm forgetting how to type. Fun!

Oh oo shay thany, bakteb chethey le'ana 1) asra3ly 2) mo lazem atfalsaf wayed 3) ra7 etshoofoon more posts :P

This is a reply to my lovely Baroques post...

Yes, you can tell a person that you miss them without having to put your sheild down, just make sure that you yourself are in the right position to do both! Hold your shield up high and say that you miss them! Why is that so important? Because once you say it, you don't need to hear it back, you're not insecure about wanting to hear it too because you've sent it out to the world and you have no unrealistic expectations.

Something along the lines of "saw khayr o ge6a ba7ar" ... If you really mean it and genuinely want the person to know, you'll tell them without expecting them to do the same. But if there are some insecurities looming around, you'd be hesitant about saying it and if you do will expect and probably demand a reply of some kind.

-Hakish-

Today was "Hakish" day with one of my friends, it was fun.

Hakish is that slapping sound, you know, to emphasize a slap in the face. Literally or figuratively. Use it sometime, it truly is addictive :P

For once I'm going to stop thinking about what to write and just let it flow, so excuse me if I'm not going to be typing something coherent. Don't you ever reach a point where you say it can't get any worse, but then it does, and then you say it can't get any worse again, and it still does? and you have this inner fight with yourself, between looking for that tiny shred of hope and the cynical side that damns every little thing? Yeah well I'm somewhere in between, I still have hope for the human race :P

Oh and something else, please if you want drama, go find or create some on your own time and don't include me, I'm not a drama magnet and don't intend to be one anytime soon. Wala some people love to start drama just for the hell of it, I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THAT. Why? la jad, why? You want some feedback on how pathetic you are, or how your actions are futile? Sure, it may seem humorous to listen to you talk about your problems, but seriously? I've been telling you how to avoid the drama but you seem to feed on it. It is entertaining though. I have to admit that.

What else? I'm tired of waiting for things to happen, either I do something about it if I can, and if I can't I'll just forget about it. Patience is not on my resume anymore, everything has to happen YESTERDAY :P

And I'm going to end this post with a useful tip,

being detached is the only way to guarantee your survival

Think about it, I wrote it on a whim, don't really know what it means, but it sounds cool :D G'NITE
