Life Really Does Work In Mysterious Ways!

You've all heard how if something bad happens its bound to be for a greater better reason? No one told me that service has next day delivery lol I LOVE IT!

Yesterday wasn't the best of days for me, let's just say I hope I never ever go through that experience again, and most importantly not to make anyone make me go through that! Oh oh and I simply love when you see people for what they truly are and not be blinded with your own false perception of them, I feel so relieved and happy that I didn't make the whole ordeal take longer than a day to get over. It truly is something that I am grateful for, my ability to bounce back after a day of emotional detox.

My rehab plan is just to vent vent vent, get it ALL out of my system, right down to the smallest slightest thing. I was venting to my baby bro, he seems to understand and get me the most. The way he relates to the situation is comedic to say the least, little people have big problems it seems. Ya7elwa!

Yeah, so basically, life isn't that bad after all. I think it felt bad for messing me up yesterday by making today extra special. :)

Beautiful Liar

I heard something today that opened my eyes to a lot of things. We were discussing what determines standard of living from an economic perspective but I related it to my own personal self.

What determines my standard of living?

The answer is the availability of options.

The more options the higher standard of living you have. You don't have to 'settle' for anything that's given to you. You have the power of choice! I have never realized how crucial this is until today. I've probably taken it for granted all the time, naturally of course since you never really know the value of something unless its taken away from you. This time it was different, I felt truly grateful and humbled by the fact that I, unlike many other people in the world, have options in my life.

Let me relate it to paint a clearer picture. I had the option to get up today. I had the choice to drive or use the driver. I made the decision to wear my black jacket, attend classes, sit around with friends, and to come back home and watch TV.
I'm not going to say I live a shallow life, but a life that is extremely priviliged for sure, now what I have to do is to seize the right moments and choose wisely. The more options I have the tougher it gets. I better make the right one!

Oh, and there is one thing I don't have a choice about and that would be my food! Stupid diet.

Proud and Loving It?

Ok, everyone has to have some kind of pride, but what if your pride gets in the way? Why can't some people just let go for the sake of living and enjoying life? It's not a sin but merely a chance to back down and see the big picture and let everything be!

No, there always has to be the mental games going on to complicate everything and I for one like to take things very easily. Is it really so hard just to say what really is on your mind? Just spill everything out and don't doubt what you're saying and breathe easy! Seriously, people coop up everything inside for the sake of what? Not seeming human? Unbreakable? Superior?

I might just say that that really is the worst way to live, some people just take the notion of pride to extreme levels and set their eyes on the stars, basically somewhere that is unattainable. You can live this image in your mind but have you ever thought what it would be like if you just let go just for a little bit? Constantly thinking of life as a game of chess, calculating every other move is not healthy, do you really want to shorten your life span? If that's what your definition of living is. Really sad.

And no, you shouldn't keep score in life. People aren't pawns.

Other than that, life has a great sense of humor, it can bring you things that would seem perfect a couple of months ago just a tad too late and make you suffer the consequences! Beautiful! :P
